Cybernetics, facts about cyberneticsCybernetics is a branch of science which deals with information and control systems in both machines and animals. Animals have many built-in automatic control systems which enable them to survive. For example, if a person's body is too hot, the sweat glands automatically open and give off water. The water evaporates and cools his body. Many automatic control systems are now being used in industry. The thermostat is a simple example. If, say, a boiler is too hot, a thermostat automatically switches off the heating, and the boiler cools down. Many machine control devices are more complicated, but none are as complex as those in the human body. You can read these articles also: |
